The Famous Punchbowl Inn is in the centre of the village of Lanreath, in south east Cornwall.
From Plymouth:
Take the A38 across the Tamar Bridge towards Liskeard and Bodmin. After passing Liskeard, at the roundabout at the end of the Dobwalls bypass, continue straight across on to the A390 to Lostwithiel and St Austell (the A38 turns right at this roundabout). Then follow the route below from East Taphouse.
From Bodmin:
Take the A38 towards Liskeard and Plymouth. The road winds through the Glynn Valley and emerges at the village of Doublebois. Just after the village, at the roundabout turn right on to the A390 towards Lostwithiel and St Austell.
A390 through East Taphouse:
After 2 miles the A390 goes through the village of East Taphouse. Just after leaving the village take the left turn B3359 to looe and Polperro. After 3 miles, and about 1/4mile after the turning on the right to Polruan and Boddinick, Lanreath is signposted down a lane to the right. The Famous Punch Bowl Inn is at the end of this lane. Car parking is available in the village car park on the right just before reaching the Inn.
From Looe and Polperro:
From the A387 Looe - Poplerro road, take the B3359 towards Pelynt. Go through the village, and about 1.5 miles further on the lane to Lanreath is signposted on the left. The Inn is at the ned of this lane. |
